9600 cheaper than 9500?

Why is the 9600 cheaper than the 9500, even the black pcb nonpro cards? At new egg, I was seeing the 9600 for $122 and the black pcb for $139.

The 9500 is actually better than the 9600, i forget the technical reasons at the moment but i do know that the 9600 was created as a more budget line card as opposed to the 9500 which is an older high end one, like the 9800 pro of the current day.

but if you'll have to choose between a 9500 non-pro or a 9600 pro, 9600 pro is the way to go.

The 9500 has the potential to being soft modded to 8 pixel pipelines where as the 9600 has only 4. Actually the 9500 has 4 on default and its a less thatn 50% chance of success softmodding a 9500.

The 9500 non-pro a little bit faster than the 9600 non-pro
The 9600 Pro is faster than the 9500 non-pro
The 9500 Pro is faster than a 9600 Pro.

But, the 9500 Pro & 9600 pro are <i>roughly</i> equal
The same situation applies for the non-pros in these series.

My OS features preemptive multitasking, a fully interactive command line, & support for 640K of RAM!
