Trouble OCing DFI Lanparty 875pro

I am very new to the whole idea of overclocking. I am able to get it above 3 GHZ with no trouble by adjusting the FSB and memory timings, but after just a slight OC, the onboard sound stops working. Is this normal? It is a pentium 4 2.6c.

That's normally caused by the PCI bus being overclocked. There should be a way to lock it in BIOS.
