EVERYTHING, except clock frequency, 9800pro is a much better built card. It has much better image quality over the 5900ultra.

-Intel PIV 2.4C @ 3.84G -Asus P4P800 -OCZ Copper 2x256 4000EL memory @ 275mhz 3-4-4-8 -Sapphire 9800pro @ 490/780 -SB audigy -80G Maxtor Diamond Plus9 Ultra ATA-133 hdd -450 Enermax PSU

The 5900ultra and all the FX cards over the 5600 are fast cards in direct x 8. But thats old now and all new games need fast DX 9 cards. The FX cards suffer pretty badly at the same settings as the ATI cards do because of their lack of hardware support (and software) to do the things that the new games need to look nice AND run at good framerates.

The recent Half life 2 and Tomb Raider benchmarks using DX9 show that the 5900 and other FX cards fall significantly behind the 9800pro and in some instances (like in Half life 2 full direct X 9 mode) the 5900ultra is slower than the 9600pro.

Nvidea has new drivers that make the FX cards faster, but their image quality is poor compared to the ATI cards because they sacrificed good looks for speed....

Doom 3 makes the nvidea cards run in 12 bit precision (low quality) and therefore run a bit faster than ati cards, but that was just a very early beta of the game.

Also note doom3 is opengl not direct x so not many games will use that engine, not for a while yet anyway as the current game is put back until next year....
