I have a ASUS A7V333 MOBO. Running a AMD Athalon XP 1700. I will be upgrading to a XP 2500 here shortly.

Problem is AMD sites says the 2500 wants 1.65 volts and my lowest setting is 1.70.

Anyone here have a clue as to what probs I should or shouldn't have running this chip if properly cooled.

Thanks

many bioses do not let you select a voltage below or much below the current cpu's detected voltage. For example, they only let you select voltages + or - 20% from the bios's detceted voltage. If your motherboard can support 333mhz fsb then it will run that cpu just fine. But a barton 2500 should easily be able to run 1.7v

If it isn't a P6 then it isn't a procesor
