a7n8x multiplier

I have a 2500+ running on a Asus A7N8X2.0 (not the deluxe) and i don't seem te be able to increase the multiplier over it's default setting, is it the board or is it the cpu. I there any way to fix this? Hope you guys have some info about this.

My guess is your are trying to increase the multiplyer over 12.5x, you cannot, the asus board only unlocks the multis below 13x for the barton 2500 :frown:

no, that is not the case, it wont even allow it to go over 11x. Which is the cpu's default

wow i thought it was me. Most I can get out of the FSB is 135-136 off a delux, but the real difference is the 2nd NIC and SATA. Otherwise the basic board is the same..but the FSB is prolly my cheap ddr 2100..

The multiplier, I thought with an unlocked CPU, which I have, would be OC'able, especially since the board 'supports' up to 16.5x

My barton 2500 on the a7n8x deluxe will not go over 11.5. It would boot and bench at 11.5 but I got a higher score at 11. Anywho the futher the multiplier, the more unstable it could get.
