Well I would ask: why haven't you just tried it yourself? But whatever, yes it works you can play music from a usb drive while in game. And for the record, (in reference to your 1st thread) you should always get the system with the highest memory in general when you have the funds for it.

You can also transfer it onto your hard drive and play it in the xbox media center while playing a game.
