I have a Gigabyte R9700pro and I wanna OC it a bit (just to see). How can I do it?

Im gonna mod my case to have a 120mm fan (silent, of course) blowing onto my (future) Zalman HP80C vga cooler soon so I wanna OC the beast too.

Tnx I found Radclocker and its very good.
R9700pro @ 351, 337.5 MHz.
I had 12340 in 3DMARK2001 (look below) 4xAA and VGA at stock speed (325, 310MHz). Now even OCd I cant get over 11000pts with Cat 3.8 drivers (we r talkin abt 4xAA and 3linear, Res 1024x768)
Athlon 2500+(2100MHz - 12*175), 1GB PC2700 Samsung ram (crap and I know it)

that is nice man =). The great thing about the omega drivers is the actual game performance and loadtime increase. Don't worry too much about your ram, I have to settle with pc-133 =). I'd like to see you futuremark03 results on the default setting (of 3dmark03) though.

I have the same processor and 3d card as you. With some pc3200 memory and a better motherboard, I get over 18,000 3dmarks easily....

I use rage3d tweak to o/c the 9700pro. 382/351 is the maximum I can go but I keep it about 370/340 for general gaming because it more than fast enough.....

Oh and stay away from the cat 3.8's if you can. Lots of people with overheating and stability problems from these. I use the omega 3.7's...

well, 3dmark01 is know for putting a lot of "marks" up to the ram and processor. If you two want to do an oc'compete, try a program that tests the graphicscard instead of the whole sytem. (ig. 3dmark03,x2,etc.)

Disable 4xAA. Then you should get at least 18000 points. Scores w/a AA are better compareable, because most benchmarks are made w/o AA and most people dont have any idea, if 12000 w/ AA is good for your system.

You can get the ZM-OP1 noiseless fan additional to the casefan. This should improve your temps a little bit (2-5°C approx.) and make your R9700 even more overclockable.
