Weird Bad Skytim FPS

Hello folks, I am currently running
I52500k oced to 4.2ghz
hd7870 2gb @1100
8 gigs ram

I am running the latest drivers for the 7870 and yet I still get horrible fps "around 20" when i try to play Skyrim on ultra @1920x1080. Has anyone else managed to resolve a situation like this? All the benchmarks I've seen for my setup lead me to believe that I should be in the 60fps range.

  1. Hi :)

    Try the 12.11 BETA drivers...

    All the best Brett :)
  2. Thank you sir, I will give them a try. Is this a known issue with 12.10?

    Hi :)

    The 12.11 are MUCH better...

    All the best Brett :)
  4. So, I gave 12.11 a shot. Still at 20fps, rather unfortunate.

    Hi :)

Try it WITHOUT the overclock on the cpu... see if it makes a difference...

    All the best Brett :)
  6. Hello again, Shifted it to stock clocks, no significant change I'm afraid.

Unfortunately unrelated to his issue, but thank you. I installed the 12.11 and all my games are running better, especially BF3.
