Ok got a problem, having trouble with ram (maybe ), wrote kingston they give me directions. Set at 217, up ddr voltage, etc.. I did and it shot craps on me, lost files, conflicting programs, etc.,cant get modum to even work to go on satellite. (o yes i have one of them pain in the butt satellites )
My question is what caused the problem. I am still thinkin memory but never seen one do this and want to be sure before i send it back, has any one else ever had this problem. Psu is a 450 and all rails running fine, except 12 volt rail(a little under and i dont like that).
so what do you think, memory, psu, cpu, motherboard, everything is fairly new within a 30 day period
P4P800 Asus
Intel 2.6 C
kingston 3500 2times 512
450 allied psu
2000 pro
GF4200
I am still leaning toward memory and they said they would replace it, but still confuse.Reinstalled 2000 and still wont detect modum and seems not stable, droped every thing down to default. o ya--modem is good, switched with the one i am using now. Also forgot, the memory wont pass memtest 86, 1 dimm freezes at 57% the other at 97%, thats why i am thinkin memory.-----thank you
