Im going to get another vid card, 9800 pro again, and was wondering if anyone out there knows of good ramsinks for it. Currently I was going to use the thermaltake copper ram kit and just cut them in half. But that would mean wasted dimm sinks.

If you really want to buy ramsinks then use the Tweakmonster normal ramsinks not BGA, the reason being the bigger the better. I personally perfer hacked up processor heatsink on the front side and some hacked up thermaltake ramsinks that came with the aluminum kit. The copper kit also has Aluminum videl ramsinks so there's no point. With hacked up processor ramsinks on the front and thermaltake ones on the back I achieved 20mhz(20x2) more artifact free frequencies. I thought that was worth it.

I was going to go ahead and get the thermaltake videl sinks and hack them up so it will bypass that one dammed dioed in between the ram chips. Been using them since I had my ti4600 which I have oced its ram to 750 esaily..

I hate those little raised things, oh the 9500pro is even more annoying you need tiny ramsinks but you can have it as tall as you want. Do you have a stock cooler of any kind? If you hack up 1 of those they'll give you much more performance since they're BIG.

U could do what i did with my R9800pro (128mb) card.

I used 8 12.5mm x 10mm x 16mm jaycar autoelectric store heatsinks.
Attached using a 1:1 mix of arctic silver epoxy resin.

The ramsins are larger than the BGA chips by quite alot, but clear all the other components nicely.

Some pics here
(but a bit bluurey)

results work well.
max stable mem OC up from 360 to 372 (to nearest 3Mhz). and much better in the hot weather.

U americans probably dont have jaycar over there though...

Usually I just drill a hole to go around a capacitor, never had to clear a diode before but should be possible using a hole in the sink.

No. The stock one is doing fine.
380 stock, 420 normal operation, can do up to 429 without errors, or slightly jumpy in certain games above (but still doesnt crash)

Summer is approaching here in oz, so ill keep my eye on it, possibly clock back to 400 if it needs it.
