I just got an AIW 9700 PRO. I want to overclock it for use in the upcoming direct x9 games. This is whats currently under the hood:
Athlon 2600+ @ 2.17 GHZ
AIW 9700 PRO
512 MB pc333 generic ram
20 GB MAXTOR 7200 RPM HD
Asus A7N8X-X ( nforce 2)
ALL stock cooling is used.
I need to find out how to OC the card as well as any cooling solutions for under 30$
My current best score in 3DMark 2001 is 14,500 and I don't think that is too good for my setup.

14,500 is where you should be with that setup. I use rage3d tweak to overclock my 9700pro. I found the maximum overclock was 393/344 without artifacts and without crashing by using 3dmark 03 to look for artifacts and 2001se lobby tests (looped over an hour) to check the memory overclock for stability (crashes over 344mhz). I then used radedit to edit the bios to a speed which will be safe whatever the conditions (371/337).

I went from 16.7k to 18k just by overclocking to the speed above. Buying some faster memory (200mhz pc3200) will get you an extra 600 3dmarks or so.
