Has anyone used a Vantec Aeroflow VA4-C7040 on a Gigabyte 7N400 Pro2? I'm going to use a 2800+ Barton. It looks like the aeroflow barely fits because of a capacitor near the socket. Does anyone know if having the heatsink push against a capacitor will lead to problems later?
Thanks

as long as you do it gently there is really little harm in bending away capacitors. If the heatsink is still sorta' rubbing the capacitor get some electrical tape and wrap it around the capacitor so that the heatsink does not cut into the shrink wrap protecting the cap.

I have a friend that's really good at soldering. I'm thinking of having him heat the solder so that I can raise the capacitor enough to bend it out of the way completlely.

Thanks for the feedback.

well that would only be necissary if you cannot get it to fit at all, but i think you could. Its pretty easy to remove those big ass capacitors so it should be pretty risk free if the need arises, but i doubt it will be necissary.
