I'm not overclocking, but I don't know where else to post this question.

I have a 2100+ with an MSI mboard.. I built it about a year ago. Recently, the computer has been randomly rebooting, and I suspect it is the temperature, but I'm not sure. The CPU runs between 65-75 C and the system is running at 30-35 C. I have two case fans, both pointing out as well as a power supply fan facing out. I also have a CPU fan that was installed with thermal paste. My graphics card is a MSI Geforce4 MX440. Any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks.

65-75C that's near melting temperature. what's your room temperature? Also it sounds like your heatsink's not installed properly. Try opening up a side panel, may help.

The room temperature is about 20 C. If the heatsink is not installed properly, I can take it off and reapply thermal paste? Or what should I do?

Your CPU could be melted already, remove CPU from socket look at the area in middle of the pins, see if it's melted by the slightest bit. If it is then try to RMA the chip as soon as possible.

nay, it wont melt at mere 75°C, however your BIOS probably had a protection setting at 80°C which might explain the "random" rebooting. sound like either the HSF body is f'ed up or your HSF fan had quit working.
