I am looking for an alternative to the Vantec Tornado 92mm fans to fit on top of either a Thermalright SLK-900, SLK-947 or the new SP-97 (heatpipe).

Has anyone played with these Delta 120mm 190CFM fans, possibly mounted on Zalman fan brackets? Planning on running at 7V through a fan bus controller (if I can find one to cope with the 12V x 3A = 36W startup power requirements).

Or am I being dumb and should go for the 92mm Volcano on a fan bus controller? I just like the idea of having 2 of these fans on my dual board...

Campbell...

I have 1 of those, they're pretty nice, just becareful not to get your finger in there, if you're using zalman fan bracket make sure you screw it in properly otherwise the delta'll pull it right out. it's REALLY loud, i'm using it as my video card cooler. on the CPU i got SLK900U with 92mm Tornado. Fan controllers, check out the Thermaltake ones, i'm not sure what they're called, you'll need to modify the connector to 3 pins then you can use the Thermaltake fan speed controller things.

it's hard to find a good set of headphones with a mic. what i've seen people do instead is get a headset with just a mic (no ear part) and then use their regular headphones. i don't actually think good headphones with a mic exist
