I have an ASUS GF4 TI-4400 128mb, and was wondering, is it possible to get a heatsink to it instead of the fan+heatsink combo? My goal was to make it quiet, but is it too powerful/hot to run with only a heatsink? Thanks in advance for any answers.

If you really want to be clever, go find a method for undervolting your card (not underclocking) as Ive heard that most vpus run at higher voltage than is really necessary in order to provide a margin for error. You can see how to do this here (he underclocked too). I know this may sound a bit extreme  but if you do ever manage this tell me, because I really want to do this (my card's default voltage is 1.68v because its a gainward special edition, and could really do with being cooler).

use a water cooling system in your computer with a part to cool the video card. they work wonders im using a radeon 9800 128 video card without a fan and it stays at 24 degrees with my water cooling system on energy saving mode

He doesn't want to overclock so there's really no point for watercool.

That's right, I'm not overclocking. My goal is to silence my PC without spending too much money, and I believe the lil fan on my GPU is one of the bigger problems. I was thinking about taking care of CPU cooling with a heatpipe system, but I'm very unfamiliar with that. My CPU is an Athlon XP 2400+. I'm also wondering how to make my powersupply quieter, I really wouldn't want to buy a new one.

The ZM80A-HP looks good, now I'm just curious about the price.
