Trying to find the name of an old pc game

Hello,

Im trying to find the name of an old PC game , probably 1990s, early 2000s.

Best i can remember :-

strategy game for the pc, set in ancient Mediterranean sea.
maybe 3 races to pick from, one might of been called "Verona" ?

i know its not much to go on, but any help would be great!! trying to find this one for years...lol

Try having a look on abandon ware sites if it is old, ect like a dos based game or early windows 98, Normal you can get them for free, Legit. Its a good place to look for old dos games ect. Are you thinking of populous by any chance because it fits your description of the game Greek ect.

Can it be one of "Anno" games?
