500/770 with a fan blowing at it, got tired of that and backed it down to 500/760. Can't get the thing to stay stable at higher VPU clocks, even at 505MHz it's running cool but crashes anyway. RAM overheats at 770 without the aid of a fan.

Not a huge fan of the 9600 series, rather get the 9500. Could return or exchange it but they will not do it on the basis of you cannot get it to do more that it was advertised.

F-DISK-Format-Reinstal DO DA!! DO DA!!

Can't exchange it or get money back, since I didn't pay anything for it. I got it free for a review.

well, in my defense, i atleast guess that can play half-life (original) at a resolution higher than the extreme lowest with it at the smallest size with the least colour? lol....

Make the game work for you, not work you into a new computer

I published the review a long time ago, I praised the card for being so good, even overclocking well. But as good as it did, mine didn't do nearly as well as the ones in other reviews, which is what I'm complaining about here.

Whiner!

Wish my ram went as high as yours, but glad my core goes higher. Wanna trade parts, then we'd have one killer card.

I think the R9600 series has the widest variety of OCs of any other card/chip on the market, even with the 'same' parts.

I like mine though.

BTW, have you thought of the Volt-Mod? I'm not sure if it's exactly the same on the AIW or not.

Speaking of Half Life (I know-- off subject) I haven't played the first one but I've been told it rocks. Should I go out and get the platinum pack with all the goodies on it?I like unreal tournament ( not the new one) and other stuff like that.

Not to change the subject but has anyone had, or heard of, any luck over clocking a 9600np? If so, what did you end up with for specs?

Thanks

500/770... I got 450/680 on mine, then again, I havn't finished with it and I have a GigaCube one with 3.3ns memory (so I was told after giving someone what it read on the chips).

I know what everyone's been wondering - 2^33634943-1 IS NOT PRIME. Now, wasn't that worth running Prime95 for a month to know?

Samsung. getting my grand-dad to make me some 1337 RAMsinks on sunday.
I know I can push the core more (is that because it's ATI?), but don't know how much more.

That's true, ramsinks are a gamble, they may decrease overclockability.

The chips are hot to the touch now, wouldn't cooling them down help me OC more? Is there are way to up the voltage a bit, will that help?
