Hard drive reporting wrong size

Last response: in Windows 7
Share

Hello,
I recently used Acronis partition manager to resize my C drive, I have a large winsxs folder that was filling the 40Gb partition. I deleted another partition and the resized the c: drive to 136Gb. The actual resize failed beacuse of corrupt files. I ran scandisk and tried again.
Both partition manager and the Win7 hard disk management tell me that C: is 136Gb. But in My Computer C: is listed as still being 36gb with only 3Gb of free space.
Any thoughts? I really want to avoid deleteing the partitiions and reinstalling.
I have Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit.
2 HDD's both sata.
