Can't get FSB past 255

I have a P4 2.4C with a Thermalright SLK-947U, and Abit IS7-E and 2*256 Corsair PC3200LL memory. I can easily get my system to 250 FSB at 5:4 mode but any increase over 255 won't let system boot, even though I set Vcore to 1.675, VDIMM to 2.7 and timings to 3-4-4-8. Any advice?

Is 2^33634943 prime? (more than 10Mil digits @55.5%) I will know in 2 weeks when Prime95 finishes checking!
Edited by ytoledano on 12/06/03 12:30 PM.

Ytoledano, I think i figured something out, your max FSB decreases when you use 5:4 or 3:2 ratios. Yesterday I was playing around with my friend's system, i brought over my PC4000 memory, at 1:1 Ratio, it reached 278mhz, I think that's because of memory's limiting it. However when i went to 5:4 ratio computer won't boot at 260FSB, 3:2 computer won't boot at 270FSB. He had a P4C800 Deluxe. Could anybody confirm this for me please? All P4 owners please try this.

Interesting. If it's true I's have to guess that a component is being stressed or something and the only thing tha comes in mind is the NB, unless there's another chip that takes care of the mem:CPU ratio.
