Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Collection crash

I have a vista and am tryng to play The Sith Lords part of the collection. When i go to load my saved game, it goes all wonky with colors in the background then crashes to the desktop.

I am using:
Windows Vista home 64bit service pack 2
Nvidia geforce 8400
IntelRCore TM2 Duo Cpu e8200 @ 2.66ghz, 2.67ghz
3.00 gb ram

Not sure what is going wrong.

Before you run the game try this, Right click on the game Icon or exe on the desktop or where ever you launch it from. Go to the properties option in the menu.
Click on the compatibility Tab, tick run this program in compatibility mode.
select windows xp service pack 2, click on apply then click on ok.
Run the game see if it works ok. Hope it helps you.

I uninstalled it and now it won't re-install at all. The launcher crashes.
