Have to thank Intel, for using express to ship me a brand new 2.6C. I'll receive it by this Thursday, can't wait to see the overclockability. So overclockers, make sure you don't bend pins, or melt CPUs you can claim your warrenty easily.

No matter how many times you RMA, it's 3 years from manufacture release date of your first CPU.

No, it was perfectly fine, at least it looked fine. I know there was probably some physical dammage somewhere, since i probably melted it, but it wasn't clearly visible.

not on watercooling yet, should be on a watercooled peltier by the end of the month (after i get my **** peltier power supply working). It just didnt post then i re-checked the dip switch settings (i had modified the vid pins to be controled by dip switches) and i realised i had put in the wrong vcore setting, and the cpu simply never posted again. My guess is i just blew some tiny trace inside the cpu.

Slightly. More of a stereotypical comment, but the French do bathe much more than once every 2 weeks, so it doesn't quite fit. Oh well.

Damn Rambus.
