PS3 to monitor

i just bought an HDMI to DVi cord and hooked it up to my monitor. i get picture and everything but the monitor displas a box that says "H. Frequency 67.4KHz and V. Frequency 59.9Hz" and i cant get that to go away any suggestions on how to get it to go away?

There might Be an option on Menu > Display Settings on the monitor. Have you went into the monitor settings?

when i plug it in i cant even switch back to vga, so i cant open menu

it might actually be the type of HDMI cable
