When I start Bioshock 2 I get a screen like this:

20fq3vl.jpg

Before you ask, yes my drivers are updated to the latest.

My setup: GTX 670 FTW
Intel i5 3570k 3.4Ghz

I've tried installing Visual C ++ again but it didn't work, strangely I also get this on Metro 2033 and bioshock 1.

If I press enter it does skip to the menu, but the menu is the exact same but it's screen is like the image above

Any ideas?

3 weeks old, no I have not overclocked it.

It seems to run fine on fallout new vegas, sims 3, etc...?

Just like to add it ran metro 2033 fine before I installed any new drivers

Evga precision shows the card is roughly at 33 degrees Celsius at 30% fan speed roughly

Voltage is 987 Mv

My first instinct was the same as Brett - gpu memory.

Have you tried having a play with different resolutions / refresh rates? Can you force things like AA and AF to off from the gpu control panel?

How about running a gpu benchmark? Might highlight issues if it works on some tests, but not on others...

I think I'm just spouting generic rubbish now, perhaps I should just go to sleep.

Got a score of 2571 points, 42 FPS on FurMark with 1920 x 1080 on fullscreen

On 1280 x 720, fullscreen, I got a score of 3668, keep in mind this was straight after the last test so the gpu hadn't cooled down, average fps was 61, GPU memory reaching 14% of 2GB VRAM

Hi :)

You DON'T NEED a benchmark test, you NEED a VIDEO MEMORY test.... there is one on the Hirens CD i think, from memory...

All the best Brett :)

The only way for it to work is to only let it test 1024MB of vram, how do I increase this limit?

The program only allowed me to test a half of my vram, no idea on how to increase it, I saw the option but it then breaks

Edit: Been allowed to increase vram limit to 1800, if I go any higher I get:

Going to test on 1.8GB of vram, will post back soon, no idea why I can't use more

That's 1850MB of vram tested just above
