K i have a modem thats hardware, an Intel HAM 56k internel modem that doesnt work with linux, is there any way i can get it to work, even if its only with generic drivers or something. I am running red hat 7.0 ,is there a way to get it to work, my modem had drivers for kernel 2.2, and yet on their website intel say do not use these on a later kerenl, do you think it would hurt if i tried them? Basically i only installed linux last week and its great apart from this problem.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Please dont hurt me.....please

In the end i gave up with the HAM and got a diamon supra express external which works fine. Those drivers at that site were only for kernel 2.2 and i tried installing this kernel but it was appaling, no drivers for anything and they dont support kernel 2.4

Thanks anyway
