Overclocking on an unlocked 2200+

aftermarket hs/hsf - its not as big as the slk900, not sure of the brand/make

ati 9800 pro 128


what i want to do, ideally, is set the FSB to 166 to match my ram while getting a little more clock speed. running at 166 x 11 ~ 1826 which is only 26 MhZ over waht the chip is rated, im running 60c+ under full load (prime95), erroring and crashing.

idle im high 30's to low 40's

also running at 137mhz x 13.5 , i'd error with prime95 (4mhz over the rated bus speed)

i'm brand-new to overclocking, so i apologize if my post doesnt include everything, but does anyone have any suggestions why i'm having so much trouble with what seems to be a fairly small overclock?

upped the vcore to 1.8 and adjusted the timings, it still wont run prime95 for more than about a minute at a temp of about 55c.

I think running 1833mhz should not a problem for that cpu even with stock hsf.
So, it could be that cpu donn't like 166mhz fsb. Try lower fsb, eg 150mhz, try with 150 x 13, or other fsb like 143mhz.
