I'm getting insane Here :S
I've tried a lot of possible variants on my setup (which I will give the details for below) and my cpu temperature doesn't get below 42 degrees Celsius/104 Fahrenheit(if I'm correct).
Not in advance: I haven't overclocked anything up till now.
I have a 'Avance CS-B031 Titan with window' case.

CPU: Pentium4 2,4 Ghz HT
Motherboard: MSI NEO2-LS 865PE
Memory: 2 x Corsair PC3200/400Mhz 256mb XMS and 2 x Corsair PC3200/400Mhz 512mb XMS in dual Channel setup
GPU: XFX Geforce FX5600 128mb
PSU: Antec Truepower 480Watt
HSF: Thermalright SP94 with Delta 80x38mm FFB0812EHE. blowing off the heatsink
Thermal paste: Artic Silver 5, brought on very thin.
Case fans(plus positioning and directions):
Frontlow: YS-Tech NFD1212389B-2F - 120 x 120 x 38 mm
Blowing inwards
Sideleft: Delta 80x38mm FFB0812EHE
Blowing inwards
Rear: 2 x Delta 80x38mm FFB0812EHE
Both Blowing outwards
I have removed all standard fanguards to maximize the amount of air transport, made sure that cables aren'[t obstructing the airflow through the case, taped as much holes as I could find that aren't used for fan-purpose, tried multiple variants with fan directions(aswell for the Heatsink as the casefans).
My other hardware consist of a WD 80Gb 8mb cache drive in the lowest possible 3,5" slot and a Lite-on 40x24x48 cd-burner in the top 5,25" slot. No FDD.
My only guess is that my Mobo doesn't give the correct temperature but, I don't really know for sure.
If anyone has suggestions to what could be the problem or what fan-setup I could try etc. It's more then welcome
Room temperature varies between 16 at night and 18 to 20 at max during the day.
Edited by Caffeine on 12/24/03 02:10 AM.
