no more than 250mhz fsb?

i have a p4 2.6c currently running on 3.13ghz and when i try to push fsb on 250 it boots and everything than i run 3d mark 03 and in cpu test number two troll's liar it reboots. i dunno what is wrong. i thought it might be the power supply? any suggestions?

xfx geforce fx 5900 450/975

win xp pro sp1a
300w power supply

i have vantec aeroflow vp4-c7040 and two case fans next to it and according to abit eq temp on cpu doesnt go more than 45 celsius it runs nfs underground no problem i dun think its heat problem

i got it cuz it looks a lot better than intel =P
well what would u suggest i get than and can i get some device which would measure my pcu temp better than motherboard?

What CPU core voltage are you using? Are you sure it's not a RAM problem? PC3200 usually doesn't run at PC4000 speed.

i use for clocking 1.75v core, but when i put 5:4 OR 4:5?cpu/memory i could get to 3.53ghz with vantec aeroflow and windows would boot up no problem so anyway ur right my memory sux.

to hell with bill!!!

Try cranking the memory voltage up to 2.75v and loosening the timings to 3-4-4-8. If that works to allow higher RAM speed, that's good! You can experiment further by increasing the voltage if needed, just make sure the DIMMs don't get too hot.

Have I picked on you yet for getting the IS7-E instead of the IS7 when the later only cost $10 more and gives you IEE1394 firewire and SATA RAID support?

well i dont need sata raid and firewirw ports and i was on tight budget and is7-e is a good performance motherboard for a really good price...
