Good deal. I got my case today.. and i want to use it with this computer.. but i think i should forget the hassle and just order the rest of my shite.

Kaka. Thermalright 900a, but with that massive thing what fan should i slap on top of it? People are saying the can only stand the volcano 7+ at medium settings.

Well i'm not sure.. i think i have some idea's for getting rid of that sound.
But.. i think i want the volcano. Performance is what i need. But.. a hairdryer on high.. is pretty effin loud.

Heh.. Let's hope i can fit the volcano 7+ fan on the slk 900a hsf(I don't think they give you clips that big). Then i can use that other bit of copper heatsink for mosfet's sinks.. possibly. I'll have to see it first.
I'm one hell of a maguyver.
Can't wait to show it off.

bigger fan = more air less noise (better), wusy is exactly right, and I echo him... why the hell would you want to use a 70mm fan on that heatsink???? I think that's the biggest flaw on the Tt 7+!

As for the heatsink itself, I own one, certainly no other complaints here. I have OCed all my cpus and never had to go above the low setting - which is very comfortable for my ears. My highest temp ever has been 42C on my current cpu which is a 2500+ barton running at 3200+ @ 1.8v.

So would you say that "0343" is locked or unlocked ?,I'm waiting on my M/B to arrive,so I haven't used the chip yet.
Btw,the chip is a 2400 xp Thornton core.

It's working like a champ. I modded the volcano. I can barely hear it on high. As of now i'm running stock speeds on my 2500+ at 35c load. Going to put it through some stress tests.

The heatsink the volanco gives.. i think i'm gonna give that to a friend. His p4 2.6c is running way too hot stock.
His runs at 51c under gaming load.
Or.. if it wasn't so damn heavy i'd think about putting it on my radeon somehow.. if it would even fit.
I have to do something.. that damn card is way too hot.

Great memory. Using it's timings like a champ.
If i can hit the 200fsb mark i wanna see if it will do 2-2-2-11. See what kind of scores i get on that.
PS.
I also put some foam in my case, honestly on medium setting you can barely hear this case. It's about as loud as my alienware case(that has 5 80mm fans)
That seemed to help a lot, and my case temp is 27c. Unfortunately my house is a bit warm not to mention it's in an upstairs room. Wanna figure something out so when i have to increase voltage i can keep it 40c(CPU) under hardcore load.

As I said "I'm wating on the M/B." I'm getting the NF7-S V2 M/B to be sure. I'm thinking on running Corsair 512mb ddr 3200 and overclocking the heck out of it.As far as opening the other half of the L2 cache,that will be new territory for me and as far as research goes I have only found one web site that talks about unlocking it. And they are not to clear on the instructions.

I think I may have to rethink on how to overclock this cpu as I just found out that the 2400xp I have, has the new packaging amd just recently came out with....kinda blows chunks.....doesn't it?

Seriously dude a 2500xp locked is still nice. This weekend i plan on seeing if i can get it to 220mhz.
I'm getting 445.4 average score on the performance test that I just downloaded off of the forums.
But maybe it's the stepping i have read a lot of good things about my cpu's stepping.

Yea.. a little update about my volacno 7+.. keeping it on high all the time is getting to me.. i'm also keeping my power supply on high as well. :/
It's giving me these weird twitches lately.
i think once i become un-broke.. i'll maybe invest in some h20.
