Hello,

My PC specs are:

Intel i5 2500k @ 3.3ghz Max turbo frequency 3.7ghz
Nvidia Geforce GT 240 @ 1gb
4Gb ram
1x75gb HDD and 2x160Gb HDD
Windows 7 Professional 64bit

Well i just thought i would play Minecraft and before i used to get 100+fps when i first got my PC and ever since i have been getting 60fps

I put the specs to the lowest, i would still get 60fps - Got Optifine - Ran a virus scan - Ran CCleaner

What can i do to improve my FPS?

Hi :)

Its your graphics card.... I wouldn't sell one that low end in my shops...

Basically its total rubbish...

Buy a MUCH better card costing a couple of hundred and you will see a HUGE improvement...

All the best Brett :)

I agree with Brett. Your GPU is old and actually isn't even made for gaming.

To answer your FPS difference problem, then minecraft is a game that is always in update progress, so the game might have become more demanding over the last months/years.

Hello thanks for the answers, i know it's old but i brought the pc really cheap so i can upgrade to it. I was thinking of getting a new graphics card when the range of AMD graphics cards come out in March i think.

Thanks :)
