I put together my own pc a few months ago.
For awhile i have been getting fps drops/spikes that make my game jerk and shutter for a few secs. When playing Guild wars 2 the spikes make my game very jerky for a seconds. When playing WoW i some times get spikes that freeze my game for about a second then it jumps to where it should be.
I have a feeling something might be faulty like the cpu, ram or something else. I have done some ram and graphic card tests to see if i can find any errors but they all seem to say that its fine.
I know its not the graphics card because i updated my card from a gtc 560 to a gtx 650 and it still has the same problems.
I also did a reinstall of my os onto my other hardrive because my hardrive was abit old and was runing slow and thought it could of been the hardrive causing the fps drops from having problems load.
BUT after reinstalling i got a new problem, i get screen tearing even with vsnyc on which is wierd and sucks, my fps drops dont seem to be as bad but are still happening.
Tired reinstalling drivers but tearing still happening.
My temps are fine, gpu never goes over 58c and cpu cores never goes over 52c
Was thinking of buying a SSD maybe that would help.
I have been trying to fix this for awhile but havent had much luck, Any help is very appreciated (:
