I just did a DIY water cooling setup and need info on waterblocks.I was thinking DD Maze3 CPU, Maze4 GPU since they don't carry Maze 3 GPU anymore.DD ramsinks for the vidcard.I also noticed DD doesn't carry chipset blocks anymore. If needed who sells good ones.
What are your opinions on the best ones to get.Or if I have should do great.

Man, It's Sure Fun To Waste Money On.......

actually wuzy, the maze3 does have an intake above the center of the block.. but regardless, another good block to use is Silverprop's Cyclone.. as for Danger Den, they do have a chipset cooler called the "Z-Chip" block, and their GPU cooler is a maze 4 and is excellent

<b>and now for something comepletely different</b>

Maze series are only good for chips with an intergrated heat spreader on them.
I don't understand why there should be a difference approach with CPUs with heat spreaders and without, since the heat spreader is only a thin piece of aluminum which is there for protection and underneath there's a die (though a big one) with thermal compound (cheap one) in between. How much heat can the heat spreader spread, I mean, Isn't it better that there be there the bigger surface of the HS?

Got a nice overclocked overvolted system to keep you warm at night? That's great. Guess I'll have to settle for a woman...

i don't know why wuzy would say that, the intake of the Maze 3 and 4 sits above the center of the die of an amd athlon based system, so i see no validity in his statement

Doesn't sell chipset blocks? <A HREF="http://www.dangerden.com/mall/blocks/zchipset.asp" target="_new">are they out of these?</A>

The maze3 and 4 both have inlets above the die, but neither uses jet impingement, which technically is the best for bare dies. maze style and impingement style blocks perform closer to each other when used on an IHS, and maze is preferred when using a TEC.

The IHS is not aluminum. It's nickel plated copper.

Your setup is fine, but if you want the best performing widespread waterblock (that is, not one that's handmade by cathar), go to d-tek and get their whitewater, then lap that. They have a reputation for poorly finishing the base of their blocks. Lap with 600 or 800 grit - more tends to yield no difference in temperature. The whitewater is more expensive.

this signature area is too dern short, no space to put your system specs

fair enough, you are right and i do agree, but the Maze 3/4 is still a good block

why would you want to use an rbx for a peltier? you dont use direct die waterblocks for peltiers...its just not koshor

If it isn't a P6 then it isn't a procesor
