i have a athlonxp 2700+,a7n8x nforce2 deluxe, sapphire radeon 9700pro, 1gb of corsair xms pc3200LL(2.0-2-2-11),80gb WD 7200rpm 8 mb cach.

i scored 15,153 in 3dmark2001SE. Every thing is stock. Is this score low for my system ? What should i start tweaking to improve it ?

That's not bad at all.
I scored a 15k out of the box with my 2500+ barton.
Locked though..
