Which one of these laptops should I get?

I have been looking at affordable "gaming" laptops for college, and I've come across two Acers that I think will fit my needs. I'd like to be able to play Skyrim on medium settings. These are the two laptops:

Now I know these aren't great for gaming, but will they do the job? And also which has a better chance of running Skyrim? Or is there another one that is better, keeping in mind that my budget is $700.

Thanks for your time!

More about which laptops
  1. Check these benchmarks out:

    AMD based laptop:

    GPU:

    CPU:

    Intel Based Laptop:

Based upon these benchmarks, I would recommend the Intel based laptop. Good luck in college!
  2. The second one is much better. As far as gaming goes you will be playing most games on low settings at 720P, but it should be alright.

Skyrim should run pretty well. Your looking at low-medium at the laptop's native resolution.

I have to go for a bit, but I'll check around and see if I can find something better for less than $700.

    Check out this page:
    http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-630M.63761.0.html

Scroll down for a bit and you'll see game benchmarks. That should give you a rough idea of what to expect from the laptop.
  3. Why do you want to purchase Laptop? You should go with tablet such as iPad, nexus 10, etc...
  4. Get the second one. Even though the Integrated radeon cores on the A6 are fast they dont compare to the full fletched power of the GT630. which is not much but you're looking at medium low settings on 1440x900 with 25-30 frame rates. Also, Marie weaver; Are you fricking nuts? Since when does the Ipad play skyrim and other modern PC games. That's right.. never
  5. ^ The laptop is only 1366 x 768.

I looked around a bit and this is about as good as you will get for less than $700.

It has a better CPU, GPU, more RAM and a bigger HDD. Plus MSI is a more reliable brand than Acer. With the laptop I linked you can play Skyrim on high.

Hi! With the budget that you have there are tons of laptops you can get. Though the http://www.***/best-affordable-laptops would always be in the line of toshiba, acer or lenevo.
