Hey,

I can't get my barton 2500 to over clock, my system won't boot after I change the FSB to 200 in the bios. My specs:

Chip: Barton 2500
Bios: 1007
Board: Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
Memory: 2x256MB Corsair 32MX8 PC-3200
PowerSupply: Antec True 480
ChipTemp: 40 Deg C +/- 1
Not being able to overclock new system: PRICELESS

I've even tried stepping up the voltage in .25 increments to 1.7 - didnt work.

Does anyone know of any other settings that need or can be done with this board to make it over clock? Is there a way I can step the FSB in smaller increments?

I really appreciate any help.

Mark

Yeah, you'll wanna up that FSB in increments. I don't have your board so personally can't give specific instructions. Go here (nForcersHQ) to asus section. This link takes you to the tutorial for OCing your board http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15496

Also, you might want to check the revision # on the board (between the Agp and the Pci slot). If you have rev 1.xx then you might want to flash back to the 1004 bios. If you have rev 2.xx then you can stay at 1007. It has been shown that the difference in the bios can affect your ability to overclock. The best source of info for this board is nforcershq.com.
