What to do if accidently got rid of the horadric staff in diablo 2 lod

Hello,
i accidently got rid of the horadric staff in diablo 2 lod and now i cant figure out what to do since i cant get the staff. how do i get it again?

The staff or the cube? You mentioned it is LOD but I take it you are still in the desert?

I googled "lost horadric staff" and from what I've found you can get it back by going through the missions again to re-collect the pieces. This sucks, but it beats starting the whole game over, and just think of all the extra experience you will pick up for the Chapter 2 final against Duriel, who is HANDS DOWN the toughest boss in the game minus Diablo himself.
