No reason to buy a hub these days. You can get a switch for a few dollars more. Depends on your budget as to your question. How much do you have to spend and what features are you interested in? Since you mentioned a hub you wouldn't be interested in features. Hub's are dumb devices but if you have some money to spend and want some flexibility then there are many switces to choose from that allow numerous configuration and management options. If your on a budget then get the cheapest switch you can find at your local Best Buy/Fry's/CompUSA/etc... or online.

5 port Switch = like 29 bucks in bestbuy... linksys i have 2 of them they run mint...

3Com or LinkSys both make good equipment. I have a 16 port 3Com OfficeConnect switch connected to a 4 port LinkSys router and have no problems whatsoever. And they are fairly cheap too.
