My asus P4C800-e is equipped with a passive heatsink on the NB. I overclocked a P4 2.6 to 3.125 on it . My zalman CNPS7000 A-Alcu sit right next to it and i have two 80mm fan on the side panel blowing fresh air in ,not directly at the nb but close enough. My question is do i need a fan on the NB heatsink? And what are the symptoms of a overheating NB?

symtpoms of a hot NB.. heh, well the innability to overclock anymore, a sluggish system, errors, innability to boot at random intervals... basically the weird stuff, heh. If you're worried that its overheating, pop open your case and touch the heatsink while you're usin the system, see how hot it really is. obviously the cooler the better, but as long as its not uncomfortably hot then its not "too" hot.

and now for something completely different
