Testing overclock

Is there a free way I can just run a looping DX9 benchmark to test my Radeon 9600 pro overclock? I just want to let it run overnight.

Anxiously awaiting prescott....is it here yet?

i suggest running a burn in wizard such as sisoft's sandra - its good enough (you don't need to run a loop all night long its pointless). also 3dmark will work, just grab the demo version and run around 10 loops, you'll know you're stable if it passes them all. otherwise, you can always run sandra and seti or something of the likes to test stability as well.

SETI doesnt stress the gfx card though, does SiSoft Sandra do that? And how do I get the free version of 3dmark 03 to loop? When I hit demo, (does demo stress gfx card?) the option to loop is greyed out...

i meant for you to run seti at the same time as sandra's graphics card burn-in... and 3dmark 2003 does not allow loops on the demo? i didn't know that (the 2001 version did i believe, though I've always used the pro version myself)... at worst, download a hack for 3dmark so you can run the loop tests, though sisoft sandra is an excellent burn in for the system as well as individual components

3dmark03 demo does not loop. Just find and addictive game and play it one weekend. If testing AGP OC stability you would want to monitor it for any artifacting. Artifacting will not crash the system most of the time but it is destructive to the card if left on overnight. You can usually tell if the OC is too high if the nature test in 3dmark03 gives you artifacts on the first or second try. Just watch the water in that test.
