hey kaolt,

I'd either go for the g930 or the steelseries. People may gripe and say wireless headsets sacrifice quality, but the g930 is a solid headset - I had a pair for a while and it's one of the best bang-for-your-buck purchases. Plus, I can't stand cords tangling about, so wireless solves that completely.

cheers!

if you are not worried about wires, you can also look in to the corsair headsets. I was skeptical at first but the vengeance 1500 turned out to be very good for the price, regular price is 95-100$ but i got it on sale for $65, best money i have ever spent on a headset and the 5.1 and virtual 7.1 work amazing

i was worried about some reviews people were saying there was bad white noise when talking to people on vent and skype, but it is crystal clear.

now, i can tell you that i went the crazy way, and went for the HIFIMAN HE-400 (around 400 $). Its an audiphile grade Headphone, and i dont think ill ever go back to headsets.

Now that beeing said, your budget is far lower, but id still try to crank out the sennheiser PC 350 or 360.

I recommend you google reviews on them and decide yourself.
Gaming headsets (like the ones you linked) are in most cases of Low quality.

There you have a very good review of gaming headphones, but make sure you read THE WHOLE article, as it clearly explains what is its main objective and how are to be the scores interpreted.

From my expirience, if you really do your homework in finding the best gear at its price point, you will never think you "overpayed", but if you rush the buy, you always end up regreting it.
