I am looking for really good cooling for overclocking the AMD FX-51 w/ Asus SK8V MB to as low as 2.6 GHz to 3.0 GHz. I will be using this type of RAMhttp://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=20-146-885&depa=0

Will need registered ram with the AMD FX-51. If looking for OCZ Registered/ECC PC3500, looks like it's sold at axionTech.

I'm not aware of any sub $100 solution that can satisfy the 2.6-3GHz range. But, thermalright has a high-end heatsink for Athlon64/FX. HeatsinkFactory also has a list of fans and such to use along with it; i can remember hearing good things about the thermaltake smart case fan II. This should cost less than $100.

OK so I will be getting the ThermalRight SLK-948U heatsink. Now what would be a good fan for it? If I get water cooling will that be safe for my PC? Will it chill my PC to 5 degrees celcius or better or how about using an Air Conditioner on the side of the sace that open?

The thermaltake Smart Case Fan II mentioned above would be an example of a good fan.

Sorry, I'm not too familiar with water cooling. But, if installed correctly, I'd imagine there would be no problem.
