can anyone tell me the accurate max temp of palomino? is asus probe a realible guide on cpu temp monitor???

You can find out at AMD's web site.I think it is either 85c or 90c.

by the way.. if i OC my palomino 1500+ , what its safe temp? or i just avoid it go 90C? or less?

Sandra 2004 and your bios are the best temperature monitors. Do not run your processor above 60C for 24/7 use. Also the palomino will not overclock more than 300mhz.

dude its a pally, most of those run around 60c with stock cooling, although i do think the previously recomended 90c is TOO hot, the bottom line is that if its stable it should be ok. Overclocking is another story, probably you would want to keep it below 60c.

well im planning to OC my athlon 1500+ palomino. i read a lot of site saying that 90C is the die temp of the palomino but i wont go that far! as you said 60 or below is the ideal temp. i got a good cooling fan. volcano 7! im also planning to add some case fan...
