I overclocked my XP 2500+ Barton Core by changing the FSB Frequency from 166 to 200. Everything worked fine, windows as well as WCPUID both saw the processor as a 3200+. The temps stayed low and everything was stable. I went to lower the frequency back to factory 166 and neither Windows nor WCPUID see a change. However, when I did lower the FSB frequency down to 100, Windows and WCPUID saw the processor as a 1900+. Ahhhh, it doesn't make sense to me. Can someone please explan what is happeing?

Don't know about your mobo, but mine won't even show any proceesor speed in between soft boots (ctr-alt-del). Only on hard boots.

Maybe you just soft booted between settings and your board doesn't bother to update bios screen?
