Dota 2 freezing, PLEASE HELP

I got my laptop about a week ago and started to play dota 2, at maxed out settings it runs at 60fps. When I play at a random point during the game it just freezes, I can move the mouse but the game is frozen. Usually to deal with this I sign out by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del. If someone could tell me a way to fix this problem it would really help.
