ok got 2 older pc's ones a gateway,the other Aopen. for some reason when i
try to read a disk or try to put something on one i get "disk not
formatted,can't read or no disk in drive.

can they both be bad or can there be something in my settings or bios thing
keeping them from working? i,m on win98 & win98se. hope you guys have an
answer for me. Thanks.

try removing them and blowing them out with some canned air. new ones are
cheap, $7-10.
