I have AOpen AK77-8XN motherboard and AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (1.83Gz)
DDR 400 running @ 333 MHZ due to motherboard and cpu limitations.
Can i overclock my Athlon XP 2500+ to say Athlon XP 3200+ ??
My motherboard can go to a max of 175 MHz FSB. Current FSB = 166 MHz and multiplier 11.
Will I need a new HSF like the Aero 7+ ??
There is any other ting i need to know before overclocking ?

Fist off read the newbies guide to overclocking an athlon XP which is the second thread in this forum, probably the best place to start.
Havnt looked into your mobo but if as you say it has a fsb limit of 175 then you will not be ale to reach XP 3200+ speed as that required a fsb of 200mhz (11 * 200 = 2200) If your multi is locked and max fsb is 175 then the best OC you could hope for is around (11 * 175 = 1925)which is around 100mhz overclock over stock speed

Stupid bug.......you go squish now!

Should be able to jump the fsb to the mobo max without touching the voltage but 1.7v maybe a good idea. That kind of jump wont jump the cpu temp much unless you have a REAL shitty hsf. The barton 2500 stock HSF should suffice.

Barton 2500+ @ 2200mhz (10x220 vcore @ 1.8)
Asus A7N8X Dlx 440 FSB
1gb Geil GD pc3500 Dual Channel (2-3-3-6)
Segata 80gb SATA 8.5ms seek
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro(420/720)
