I was thinking about signing up for Mobile Web service (the $4.99 deal), but
I wanted to first find out if I can access my Yahoo email account using
Mobile Web. Also, more importantly, is it possible to be notified on my
phone when I receive new email messages to my Yahoo email account? Or
would I have to get Hotmail or AOL or something? I have an LG VX6100
phone...

Thanks!
Thor

Depending on the phone, you could access your Yahoo account. However,
the format of the Yahoo screen, especialy the part where you logon could be
an issue. I don't think Yahoo provides for POP eMail, so you could not
simply have the eMail sent to the phone.

You can be notified of incoming eMail, but ONLY for a HotMail account.
VZW can be set to send a text message when you receive eMail in your HotMail
account. Keep in mind, the text message could be an extra fee.

Actually, I have the Yahoo Plus ($20 year) account which does have POP
access. They do offer POP forwarding, but then it wouldn't go to my PC too.

Thanks,
Thor
