Does anyone own a ASUS P4P800s (i848pe) or any P4P800 series board by ASUS? Im having troubles with my P4P800s overclocking my P4 2.6c - it wont go past 3.12ghz. If anyone has any tips on overclocking the board - tell me please. Thankyou in advance.

if you're using PC3200 DDR in it, it could be the ram. It's not meant to go faster than the 400 Mhz it was designed for. I know the Corsair XMS PC3200 has a good overclocking reputation but when it comes down to it, any overclock is luck. Also, it depends on how new your CPU is. I've heard/read rumors that Intel has been lessening overclocking abilities in the C line. I have a P4P800 Deluxe with PC4000 and have gotten mine up to 3.42 stable, but backed it off to 3.25. I'm pretty happy there.

I dunno, I think it may be Asus, my P4C800 Deluxe won't go past 3.1 either, I haven't seen too many posts with other boards all stopping at 3.1. I think that Asus limits it as sort of a protection so people won't fry their boards.

My 2.6C only goes 3.12GHz on my P4C800-E Deluxe.

Hey, what HS/Fan did you use on your NB? my MB temp is around 30 idle, but my CPU is around 26-27 idle. I figured my MB temp would be lower, and I'd like it to be because of my OC, so what did you use on your NB?
