Swtor maxing out cpu need help

Hi I play swtor and for some reason its lagging in high populated areas and was curious if anyone could kinda tell me if its a glitch or if i just need to simply get a better cpu

Ram(8 gigs)-

Cpu AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz quad core-

Graphics Card(660 ti)-

os-windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Are you wired in or are you using Wi-Fi? Star Wars: The Old Republic is a MMORPG which means Wi-Fi could make the game lag a bit due to high population area or your CPU could also be holding your GPU back as well. You computer could also be slow with old junk that needs to be removed through the Clean Up tools and defragged as well even. It could multiple things, if your testing your GPU and it reaches 99% then your safe on the CPU part. I've also heard this game is more GPU demanding than CPU, unlike StarCraft II. What's your setting on the game? Because the reccommended thing is terrible it seems. The game maxes itself out with my hardware but I can only play it on the lowest settings as possible. Hope you get it fix and someone else might have more of an idea on it than I do. =)

1- use a wired connection
2- how could i test my gpu?
3- my settings are all at the lowest possible
