Need Help Overclocking Radeon 9500 Pro

I just bought a new cpu(2500+), mb(ABIT NF7-S), and memory(pc 3200) and ran my benchmarks. I am using my 9500 Pro card from my old pc because the new parts I bought dried up my funds. It is now painfully obvious that my graphics card is holding back the system. Even at standard clock, my cpu score in Aquamark 3 is 2211 points higher than the gpu score. I am using the latest Catalyst drivers. What can I do to overclock(safely preferred) my 9500 Pro to bring it up to snuff? I have never done OCing of a gpu so all advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You're not just going by the results you get in aquamark are you? How are games?I've got about the same system as you and my 9500pro runs every game just fine.Scroll down a page to:How Hard Is It? Go to the reply by phsstpok.There's a link to drivers that let you overclock your card.Good Luck.

The scores aren't really related, It's just a rating system. On my old comp, there was about a 6000 pts difference. That was on an Intel P4 at 3.6Ghz, R9800pro clocked at 490/790 gpu/mem. That's nothing to worry about

Now for overclocking, just download a program called rage3d, install it and push the frequency up 'til you get artifacts, then back down about 10mhz.

I hate my TI4200.

First you need to either flash the bios or softmod it so you can OC it. The bios on that card is locked. I just find a bios with the OC settings already inputed.

9500pro softmod?

If it isn't a P6 then it isn't a processor

9500pro has locked bios, but Omega driver will unlock it.

All 9500 and 9700 series models have locked bios. If I remember correctly, I used the Omega drivers to bypass that problem.
