i've been searching the net for nice Athlon64 coolersbut i cant find all that many.
so i have a few questions.

do any of you have some sites with good cooler reviews?
what is/are the best cooler(s) for the athlon 64?
can a athlon64 run under a cooler from an Athlon XP

i would suggest using a thermalright slk947-u with a good fan

SLK947U doesn't fit Socket754.

SLK948U is the best Athlon64/Opteron hs, but it's overpriced. I would recommend a Zalman CNPS7000A-CU, or a Thermaltake Venus 12. And if you're not planning to use 1.9Vcore, then stock cooler is more than enough. Stock cooler will handle up to 1.7V if you have good airflow in your case.

depends if it has the proper mounting equipment, but a standard socket A heatsink clip will not work on a A64 socket
